How I Use AI on This Site

I write a lot about AI, so it seems only fair to tell you how I use it here.

Writing

I use AI tools to help with research, outlining, and drafting. Every post is reviewed, edited, and approved by me before it goes up, and the opinions and experiences are mine. I check facts and figures before publishing, and newer posts list their sources at the end.

Some images on this site are, or may be, created or enhanced with AI tools.

Audio

The DeMicco Digest is a bit of a fun experiment. I give each article to Google NotebookLM or other tools I may test, which read it and create an audio overview in a podcast format, hosted by two AI voices. They aren’t real people, and they aren’t me. I don’t script or edit the episodes, so they’re NotebookLM’s interpretation of the post and not something I’m endorsing word for word. I include them because they’re a good way to show what this technology can do right now, and they give you another way to take in the content. When the audio and the written post differ, go with the written post.

Ask Joe

Ask Joe uses AI to answer questions based on the articles and material I’ve provided. It isn’t me answering live, and it can get things wrong. For anything important, please reach out to me directly.
