The use of invisible text is an illegitimate, black hat search engine optimization technique meant to fool the search engine by placing search terms and phrases on a web page using text color that blends in with the background color, rendering the text invisible to the naked eye but scannable by the search engines. It is a false way of increasing keyword density.
