Business Development Tips: What is Cloaking?

Cloaking, a type of doorway page, is an illegitimate, black hat search engine optimization technique where the content presented to the search engine is different from the content delivered in the user’s browser. Special programming techniques are used to identify and then fool the search engine. Cloaking is used for a number of reasons but most often to deliver content, often pornographic, to a user who is expecting to see another type of content.
